Adeline recounts the last day of the life of Adeline De Horsey (the eccentric widow of James Thomas Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan): the story is told of a briefly experienced love transcending wealth and power as the illuminating and energizing force of life. Despite being a play that calls for two veteran actor-singers and one younger performer, and being set in just one room of a stately home, Adeline incorporates cross-dressing, geriatric strip-tease, humour, romance and the last great cavalry charge in British military history.

Lafcadio Hearn was an American writer and folklorist who collected and translated traditional Japanese folk-tales. He is the subject of this reflective musical. Hearn, who lived in Japan at the turn of the 19-20th centuries, is living in Tokyo and here reflects on his native New Orleans and the change wrought by his experiences and life in Japan.This musical relates the Tales of "Oshidori" "Yuki-Onna" and "Mimi-Nashi-Hoichi"
